CPAC upgrades its greenness, launches the “CPAC EV Mixer Truck”, an electric mixer truck in Chiang Mai Province, the first in the North. The prototype of Green Logistics has joined hands with business partners Ornsirin Holding Co., Ltd. (Public Company Limited), Chiang Mai Rimdoi Co., Ltd. (Public Company Limited), and N.D.P. Engineering Co., Ltd., reflecting its commitment to developing environmentally friendly technologies, reinforcing the vision of The 1st Mover Low Carbon Concrete Business towards sustainability, and moving forward to prepare for pollution-free construction, helping to reduce the PM 2.5 dust crisis. It revealed that using 1 electric mixer truck can help reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by up to 212,736 KgCO2e, equivalent to planting 22,400 trees.

Mr. Thirawat Poonkanchanaroj, Managing Director of Construction Products and Materials Co., Ltd. or CPAC, revealed that as a leading manufacturer of ready-mixed concrete and precast concrete in the country, CPAC is committed to developing products with green innovations and environmentally friendly services. Recognizing the environmental issues, Chiang Mai is considered the center of the economy and construction in the North, which is constantly facing air pollution, such as the PM 2.5 dust crisis during the winter. Recently, CPAC has brought in the electric mixer truck “CPAC EV Mixer Truck”, which is a prototype of Green Logistics transportation, to deliver concrete.

The electric mixer truck CPAC EV Mixer Truck is another stimulus to promote the sustainable construction industry. It also helps save fuel costs by approximately 50% compared to using diesel, or approximately 237,600 baht/vehicle/year (calculated from the fuel price base of 33 baht/liter). This electric mixer truck is designed to support the transportation of concrete in both urban areas and the hilly terrain of the North. With a quiet driving system that reduces the impact on dense communities, including having an energy management system that is suitable for long-distance transportation.”

By 2025-2026, there is a plan to expand the use of the electric mixer truck CPAC EV Mixer Truck to major cities. Such as Chiang Rai, Chonburi and Phuket provinces, including increasing the proportion of electric concrete mixer trucks to replace combustion concrete mixer trucks with old engines. At the same time, small electric concrete mixer trucks will be developed for convenience in community areas, which in addition to having no air pollution, will also reduce noise pollution.
